Data Center Manager Role Description We are looking for an experienced professional to manage the Data Centre for our Client. The incumbent would be responsible for ensuring that the data centres of the organization are running smoothly on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be a graduate more than seven years work experience. Specific responsibilities includes – •Define policies for Data Centre monitoring, including short and long-range, day-to-day operations, Production Change Control, Patch Management, Inventory Management, Incident Management, Vendor Management and the implementation of application delivery improvement initiatives. •Delivering effective 24x7 Data Center operations and solutions which are proactively implemented and supported to address the growing demands of business. •Implement standards and processes that facilitate business alertness and the efficient use of technology investments. •Deliver 99.9% uptime and availability across all Data Center operations. •Deliver quality focused services driven to minimize anomalies. Introduce Release Management, Change Control, and Incident Management for all systems hosted within Data Centers. •Drive evolution and adoption of modern automated management and reporting solutions for heterogeneous server systems in support of server operating system deployments, automated change controls, Operational Dashboards, etc. •Manage all Software and Hardware assets that are deployed within Data Center Infrastructure. •Implement Disaster Recovery plans and procedures. •Develop Policies and Procedures – Document, implement, and enforce policies for data retention, security, change management, and day-to-day system operation. •Manage a team of system administrators who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of co-located data centers and related infrastructure •Set priorities and coordinate all daily tasks for system administrators; provide mentoring to team members, as required; and ensure compliance with all company and data center policies. Desired Profile •Graduate (with B.Tech. desirable). •7-9 years experience with 5 years in Data center management. •Experience in SQL server is a must. •Highly motivated, positive and goal-oriented, with high degree of flexibility, resourcefulness and commitment. •A highly people oriented person who is creative and thinks out of the box.
