Role Description: The team at Lionbridge Technologies is seeking part-time freelance vendors to join its team of In-market Local Reviewers. With this opportunity you may work from your home office environment. As a freelance vendor you will work independently and focus on your own local market only. Broad target market knowledge, attention to detail, self-motivation and strong linguistic comprehension are all required to be successful in this position. The main tasks include: •Identifying linguistic errors including issues that would make the product difficult to understand •Ensuring the linguistic flow of the product and its relevance to the target user •Identifying market specific functionality problems and User Interface issues Requirements: Key Skills: -Fluency in both verbal and written English, as well as fluency in target market language Marathi -Ability to conduct linguistic accuracy testing of localized products to assure language quality and thoroughness of the translations -Evaluate and compare production samples to existing similar products and identify quality improvement opportunities -Ability to adhere to guidelines and direction -Competent at making recommendations and decisions independently -Ability to investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions -Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential -Capable of working independently on own initiative -Ability to be innovative and proactive -Skilled in prioritization, organization, and time management Desirable Skills: -Background in IT, Web Design/Development and/or Linguistic Analysis an advantage -Excellent grammar and linguistic skills or experience of linguistic quality reviews preferred -Proficient with Microsoft Office (or compatible) applications Requirements: -Strong web content knowledge in target market, including top portals, search engines, social networking, webmail, safety tools, photo sharing -Access to a Windows PC running Windows Vista/Windows 7 with high-speed internet connection and Microsoft Office 2007 -Fluency in the language of your target market as well as English (both written and verbal) To Apply: Please email your CV in English
