Product Manager- Clothing (Delhi based) – Leading European retailer The Company : Our Client is a leading & growing European based retail chain holding a significant market share in Europe Reporting to : General Manager and Company MD Location : Delhi or Europe The Role : This is a senior position with the company & involves ensuring the best possible product offer to the company Responsibilities : •Manage the product offer from the Country/Region •Develop a good understanding of local mills & garment makers in terms of their product range, prices & leadtimes •Develop strategies to offer a competitive edge •Work with the Buying & Design teams to understand the needs of the Customer •Use this information & your understanding of the Product Offer from the Country/Region to develop strategies to grow the business •Stay updated with European fashion trends & product directions within the company •Regular travel to the Europe (& inspirational travel elsewhere) & constant communications with Buying and Design teams •Work with the Merchandising & Technical teams within the local office to ensure the Product Offer is backed-up by excellent service and quality •Ensure samples & price quotes are accurate & delivered promptly •Achieve sales targets - Set sales budgets for each relevant product category/department - Establish a strategy to achieve the sales target - Monitor status of sales against the budget on a continual basis & make adjustments as necessary •Ensure Customer visits to the Country/Region are well prepared & that visitors are always impressed The Requirements : •Good interpersonal skills & culturally sensitive •Self confident, tenacious & composed •At least 10 years experience in the sourcing industry in apparel, & experience in India •A successful track record in managing products through contacts & effective communication with manufacturers •Knowledge of the European retail scene •A "feel" for fashion & trends in the industry •Knowledge of fabric •Good industry contacts Interested parties, please send full resume to application@
